Faculty/Staff Bios - Sean Baker
Dr. Baker joined the faculty of the Journalism Department from the Department of Mass Communication and Communication Studies at Towson University. He holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota, a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and the Ph. D. in Communication from the University of Washington. Before becoming a member of the faculty at Towson, he taught in the School of Journalism and Telecommunication at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Baker is an outstanding teacher. As a scholar he has published widely and given many juried presentations. His research and teaching interests include: visual communication; crime and the media; new media theory; and race, class, and gender.
