“Pushing myself to the limit and taking on leadership roles in organizations that I am involved in. It has really helped me to grow as a person as well as improve my writing technique and communication skills.”

What she does to be competitive in her field:

“I have been reading more magazines, books and newspapers to learn from the best writers out there, and of course, writing.”

Dream career:

“To write for a magazine or do some freelance journalism and be a publicist.”

Suggestion to students interested in the journalism program:

“Knowledge really is power. Read as much as you can and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. The reason why most of us would like a career in journalism is because our outstanding sense of curiosity, so put it to good use and ask questions as often as you can.”
